The Friends of Town Quay Park were delighted and proud that their efforts over more than 10 years in Town Quay Park were rewarded with the Green Flag award for the Park in July 2022.
The Green Flag is an international symbol given to public parks and open spaces which achieve a common standard of excellence. The flag was hoisted for the first time by the Lord Mayor of Southampton Cllr Jacqui Rayment, with Cabinet Member Cllr. Lisa Mitchell, Chair of FTQP Roger Townsend, members of the Parks Team and FTQP supporters and gardeners.
